    Position Profile

    The primary focus of this position will be to support the Medical Affairs function. Responsible for establishing and managing timelines and project schedules, keeping the external and internal teams updated on project status, identifying challenges and recommending solutions. Overall, ensure each project is delivered successfully: on time, and at the highest quality level.

    This role is entirely non-promotional. The main focus is to support the Medical Affairs function.

    Essential Functions

    • Monitor project status, progress and deliverables through continuous communication (clinical & observational studies,

    AdBoard, symposia, Investigator Sponsored Trial, Slide deck creation/update, pharmacovigilance, medical information)

    • Establish realistic deadlines, analyze and prioritize project activities and tasks
    • Provide routine progress reports on all aspects of the project to all stakeholders including, management and project team
    • Interact with key stakeholders to develop project scope, requirements and timelines
    • Serve as the single point of accountability for all aspects of projects
    • Participate in internal project review meetings and act as project information source
    • Monitor project deliverables to ensure that requirements are met and quality is maintained
    • Remain aware of any potential areas of concern, mitigate risk and achieve consensus among collaborators
    • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
    • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
    • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
    • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
    • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team

    • To attend relevant conferences, congresses and meetings, conduct round table discussions and/or advisory boards and collate competitor activity, as well as providing context on scientific data being presented.
    • To facilitate the development of investigator initiated studies, and publications and field activities associated with both lifecycle management and pipeline.
    • To ensure, at all times, high standards with regards to pharmacovigilance, compliance and working within the scope of all relevant SOPs.
    • To ensure adverse events, product complaints and medical information enquiries are handled appropriately and in a timely manner.

    Required/Preferred Education and Licenses


    • Pharmacist (PharmD) or equivalent OR significant relevant therapeutic area experience (clinical, scientific or academic).
    • Good English language skills
    • Solid interpersonal communication and presentation skills
    • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential


    • Previous medical affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry,
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, analytical skills, ability to use work process, briefing and spreadsheet software
    • Proven excellence in managing multiple responsibilities, priorities and tasks with minimal direction
    • Proven excellence in operating in a matrixed or team environment
    • Successful at managing a high-volume of projects simultaneously while consistently delivering quality end-product
    • Excellence communicating and collaborating across various parts of the organization and at various management levels (Finance, R&D, Compliance)
    • Experience successfully leading teams in a matrix environment
