    Position Profile

    Jazz Pharmaceuticals is an international biopharmaceutical company focused on improving patients’ lives by identifying, developing, and commercializing meaningful products that address unmet medical needs. The key responsibilities of the Pricing and MA Manager are to ensure optimal pricing, reimbursement and access for all JP products in Spain and Portugal in due time. With a high degree of market access and price strategy expertise in hospital products and being able to drill down and apply their knowledge to the JP portfolio

    Essential Functions

    Global-level responsibilities:

    • Develop Spain and Portugal pricing and access strategies in collaboration with the General Manger and global, regional and local cross-functional teams
    • Understand the healthcare dynamics, policy, price and access pathways and anticipate new trends that may influence the access environment
    • Identify appropriate key stakeholders and establish lasting relationships at national and regional level
    • Engage stakeholders that will ensure effective negotiations
    • Preparation, submission and follow-up of pricing and reimbursement files in line with defined strategy
    • Coordinate the development and implementation of the national and regional market access plans in a cross-functional way with other internal departments involved
    • Embed market access plan in brand planning process, provide support and insight in the brand strategy and operational plans & activities
    • Anticipate new trends (international/national/regional) that may influence the market access environment and business results
    • Act as subject matter expert on payer landscape to global; point of contact for all questions regarding pricing and reimbursement and HEOR
    • Analysis of the requirements for future early assessment of pipeline products and communication to the global team
    • Support, educate and advise the KAM team on health economic, pharmacoeconomic and health policy to ensure quick introduction at regional and hospital level

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Deep understanding of the Spain (compulsory) and Portugal (valued)  healthcare structure and political environment, regulatory agencies, health policy
    • Expertise of pricing, reimbursement and market access (hospital drugs) including go-to market strategies and innovative pricing
    • Effective, skilled and persuasive communicator
    • Experience in working cross-functionally; self-starter with a strong sense of personal accountability as well as the ability to work in a multifunctional-functional team
    • Fluency in English, both oral and written communications
    • Excellent analytical skills, judgment and problem-solving skills
    • Solid understanding of commercial and medical functions
    • Experience in the coordination of cross-functional project groups to execute market access plans
    • +5 years’ relevant professional experience in the pharmaceutical arena
    • Flexibility to travel

    Required/Preferred Education and Licenses

    • Completed scientific studies, ideally with a focus on health economics or medical/scientific studies with an additional qualification in health economics
