Position Profile

The Legal Contracts Analyst is an integral member of the Core Contract Group (“CCG”) of the Legal & Compliance Department who will work with other members of the department, other departments within Jazz Pharmaceuticals and with Jazz Pharmaceuticals’ customers and vendors to coordinate contract management.  The Legal Contracts Analyst will be highly organized, solutions- and customer service-oriented, pragmatic and proactive in his/her approach to contracting. 

Essential Functions

  • Coordinating and assigning of requests through the contracts management system
  • Maintaining and, where appropriate, updating the contract administration process
  • Fielding questions and resolving issues related to day-to-day contract administration and associated issues
  • Drafting, reviewing and, as requested, negotiating a variety of standard contracts
  •  Developing strong and transparent relationships with internal customers
  • Assisting CCG with the development and provision of relevant in-house training
  • Supporting Legal & Compliance Department colleagues with their projects and activities to contribute to a collegial atmosphere and to balance workloads, including arranging execution and filing of documentation
  • Assisting with other ad-hoc tasks/projects as required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Minimum two years' relevant experience
  • Prior industry experience is desirable
  • Proven experience working with legal contracts, including strong drafting skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a keen attention to detail
  • Self-starter with the ability to function in a high paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to collaborate and function well in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills

Required/Preferred Education and Licenses

  • BA degree/BS degree
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office package

Description of Physical Demands

  • Responsibilities may require working outside of “normal” hours, in order to meet business demands.
