Position Profile

Responsible for directing planning for all Jazz products, in compliance with applicable GxP and other regulations

  • Management and development of a team of supply chain planning professionals, mentoring and leading staff to achieve business objectives.
  • Ownership and development of global planning processes including demand forecasting, S&OP, inventory management to ensure patient supply and business objectives are met.
  • Ensuring timely supply of compliant product to patients through robust planning of raw materials, components, drug substance, drug product from external and internal supply sites.
  • Supporting and leading cross-functional business processes such as external manufacturing management, supplier performance review, manufacturing sourcing and asset acquisition diligence
  • Monitoring and managing supply chain partner performance and developing and implementing improvement plans together with the planning team as appropriate.
  • Ensuring relationships with supply chain partners are managed through regular, structured communication processes including face to face performance review meetings as required.
  • Ensuring adherence to contractual terms with supply chain partners
  • Ensuring usage of raw materials, components, drug substance and finished products is properly managed within the relevant systems.
  • Maintaining compliance with GxP, trade, financial and other regulations to ensure patient supply
  • Identifying and leading supply chain planning projects in areas such as metrics, reporting, systems together with other internal functions such as Technical services, Quality, Regulatory, Finance and with external partners as required to achieve supply chain objectives

  • Primary degree in supply chain, business, engineering, manufacturing, or a related discipline.
  • Masters degree in a business or numerate discipline.
  • > 10 years relevant management experience in pharmaceutical supply chain with at least 5 years at team management level with familiarity with orphan drug products and contract manufacturing.
  • Very high level of customer orientation and attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to positively influence internal and external partners.
  • Well developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated record of initiating supply chain improvements.
  • Ability to travel globally up to 25%, as needed.
